High Efficiency Insulation

By combining a high efficiency insulation with our radiant heating system and other energy saving features, the homeowner can expect overall energy performance that is dramatically better than the average for new construction. A standard wall batt insulation system is mainly designed to control heat loss through conduction, but is vulnerable to heat losses through convection and air infiltration, which can have a significant effect on energy performance. The wall insulation we use is a blown in batt (BIB) system which packs the wall cavities, thereby controlling all of these heat losses. For similar reasons, we use a blown in cellulose insulation, which, because it settles into a tight pack, also controls heat losses through convection and air infiltration as well as through conduction.
